Our Focus
We believe that there are critical moments that can alter the trajectory of a child’s life, including the ability to escape poverty. We are committed to funding innovative and highly effective programs that reduce housing insecurities, and the accompanying traumas, for families and transitional age youth.
Families
Far too many families are experiencing housing insecurities. We work with organizations aimed at reducing housing insecurities for families today and those seeking to prevent future housing challenges.
Transitional Age Youth
Young adults aging out of the foster care system are faced with numerous hurdles, including finding housing. We work with organizations supporting these transitional age youth.
Current Efforts
In 2023, Yardi supported the following organizations that work to support individuals and families experiencing housing insecurities in and around the city of Santa Barbara and Ventura County.
Dignity Moves
DignityMoves works to end unsheltered homelessness in communities by building interim supportive housing as a rapid, cost-effective and thus scalable solution.
Mercy House
Mercy House operates a complete system of care designed to meet the needs of homeless and at-risk populations in every stage of their struggle.
Transition House
Transition House is dedicated to the solution of family homelessness in the Santa Barbara community, providing transitional housing for families in need.
